Our Delft reproduction and orginal Delft-style design capture the simple beauty these tiles have long been known for.

Originally created in the Dutch village, Delft are recognizable by the single bluish-colored figure on a white background. Delft tiles have been used since the 16th century ans still adorn the homes in their native land. Our reproductions capture the same simple elegance and tradition that has kept the style alive more more than 400 years.

Our Delft design reproductions are created from hand-drawn images and thermally sealed into the ceramic tile's surface.

Our tiles may be used alone or with other ceramic tiles to produce a unique design and interior theme. We believe these tiles add character and style in many situations

Delft History

The term Delft is derived from the Dutch town of Delft. The Netherlands began to produce tin-glazed earthenware in the late 15th century. Potteries were established in many parts of the Netherlands - Amsterdam, Haarlem and Rotterdam, but by the late 17th century Delft had become the most important center of production and nearly 30 companies were working in the area. The original Delft tile designs came about as a result of Chinese porcelain in blue and white, stopped being imported in the mid 17th century.
